Martha Wilson Schaffer joins Toledo Law as assistant professor of legal writing. She taught rhetoric, legal writing, linguistics, and first-year writing at Case Western Reserve University for the past 11 years, where she also served as the Director of First-Year Writing and later as the Director of Writing Across the Curriculum. Prior to that, Martha was an attorney and partner with Gallon, Takacs, Boissoneault & Schaffer Co., LPA for fifteen years,ÌýrepresentingÌýinjured workers in workers' compensation claims administratively and in common pleas court. In addition to her JD from the University of Toledo College of Law, Martha holds a PhD in Rhetoric and Writing from Bowling Green State University.
