Off Campus Affiliations
Guidelines
Student organizations are permitted to affiliate with organizations outside the 51±¬ÁÏÍø system. The UniversityÌýgives certain privileges to its students and employees that may not be extended to non-51±¬ÁÏÍø affiliated persons such as access to facilities, free admission to events, etc.Ìý
Documentation
If a registered student organization is affiliated with a non-51±¬ÁÏÍø entity, it must be indicated in the organization’s constitution.ÌýPeople who are not current 51±¬ÁÏÍø students may not vote, hold office, receive benefit from University funds, or direct the activities of a student organization. Mentors
Off-campus affiliates may serve as organization mentors but the organization must still have at least one mentor who is a 51±¬ÁÏÍø employee. Off-campus mentors may request an online account by submitting the Ìýform. This gives access to the myUT portal, the Involvement Network, and a 51±¬ÁÏÍø email address. Funding
Organization budgets and special funding issued through the University come from student general fees and may in no way support non-51±¬ÁÏÍø agencies or non-51±¬ÁÏÍø students.
